Here comes a jolly celebration in lots of places!
Perhaps you will be going out on the town,
But do have yourself a blessed Happy New Year,
Anticipating the future, without a frown.
Yes, there will be many challenges unforeseen,
And some you already have been warned about,
But claim those as opportunities to grow;
You can talk to your Heavenly Father now
Before you step up to the future confidently;
Be determined to read the Bible next year,
Prepare for life’s irritations that you may see.
Give yourself a quiet time each day for thinking,
Anticipating doing the very best you can;
Be careful who you follow as an example,
Be alert, aware, and wise in your year’s plan.
This next year can be your very best so far!
You can make it through each of those days with a smile,
Just picture yourself by next December,
Growing in faith, trusting, obeying the LORD all the while.
