My Springtime Prayer

Write Your reality on my heart today
Like You write spring on a winter-weary world.

New life is birthing across the land,
Responding to Your awesome plan.

The earth is singing and I am eager to hear,
Reassure me again that You are here.

The green is glistening, kissed with rain,
So wash me clean from disappointment’s pain.

Raise me from the dark tomb of doubt,
Cast lingering fears and worries out.

As a million sunbeams dance on the sea,
Let Your love bubble up in the soul of me.

Embrace my heart with truth and grace,
Place a smile across my face.

Looking outdoors on a bright day in spring,
This is the simple prayer that I bring:

Father, God of all creation,
Include me in Your celebration!
