A Prayer in Agreement With God's Word

Dear Father,

I just don’t know what to say right now

for this person and this situation,

But I know this is a call for

a time of focused contemplation. 

Today I found in Your Word:

(and quote the specific verse here in your prayer) 

I come into agreement with You,

I declare a remarkable blessing in this situation; 

You know everything, Almighty LORD,

I do ask for new revelation. 

       I do not ask with a bashful whimper now,

                                   I come trusting You now,

                                I come with boldness now,

                             I come with confidence now.

I agree with the great blessing You are giving, 

The answer may be delayed, I know that’s true; 

It may not be — at first — what is desired or expected,

But, dear Father, I am in agreement with You.  

You get all the glory, the praise, the honor,

Jesus, Your Son is our wonderful Savior,

Your Holy Spirit indwells each believer;

I am the completely grateful receiver. 

AMEN.
