IF is a word that gives us opportunity.
It should really grab our attention
and slow us down from a careless decision.
When we ignore it in conversation
we need to consider how useful it can be.
BUT is a word, can be a smart thing to say;
It can change our conversation’s direction.
We can speak carefully, giving information;
see if uncertainties or problems remain.
You could analyze your talking today.
Thinking and talking, both of these we need to do.
IF and BUT are such short little words to say.
When we use both correctly: good for me and you !
Good communication is essential !
Improvement is a lesson — that’s certainly true !
