So, how’s your summer going?
You say it’s just begun?
Go ahead and do those chores,
But schedule in some fun.
Keep cool enough and maybe sweat,
Drink a lot of water;
You know how to stay healthy,
By now you surely ought-er.
Watch for flooded roads and streets,
We may soon get summer rain,
Don’t get sunburned on your bod,
Wear your hat, isn’t that plain?
Maybe take a vacation,
Watch those dollars and dimes;
Find some simple pleasures,
Having golden summer times.
Summer is only a part you know
Of God’s seasonal plan;
To others be helpful and kind,
Smile and enjoy what you can.
