Hear a Foreign Language Reading in this Blog

You can hear one any of the posted articles or poems in this blog read aloud in a foreign language you choose from the list at the top of the page, under Select Language.   Click there to see the list of over 50 languages.  Then, in Safari you can click under Edit, go to Speech and click Start Speaking.
With a granddaughter now visiting friends in Kenya we were interested in hearing the Swahili language,.  A man’s voice read the article we had open here on www.EncouragingU.blogspot.com  Then clicking to Print, we printed out the article.
         Fascinating!
            Did you learn Spanish, or German or maybe Italian or some other language in high school or college?  You can brush up on your language by listening.
          And you can forward this info to people you know in foreign lands and encourage them to listen to…..and... or …..read the stories, poems, and articles that are posted here.  May it be a blessing to everyone!

Spanish? French? Italian? or . . .

        Maybe you've already found out how to get your computer to switch to your language.  It’s easy here on blogspot.  And it’s amazing to look at the list of languages.  Maybe you’re taking German as a foreign language course in college?
        Go  to this little area at the top of this blog and try it out.  There are over 100 languages of the world.  How fun to look at them!
          Want to hear your computer to read it out loud?  Look here for Mac  http://lifehacker.com/5782701/make-your-mac-read-articles-out-loud-with-a-keyboard-shortcut    Or do a Google search to find how to do it on your computer.

Oh, JOY !!!

Joy is a short word that says a lot.  Say it, feel it,  anticipate it, be thankful for it. Have you said it lately?
     Consider it as an exclamation like “Joy to the world, the LORD has come.”
     Consider it as a prayer like, “Heavenly Father, I’m running out of joy.  Fill me up with your genuine joy.”
     Consider it as a question, “What brings you the most joy?”
     Consider it as an explanation, “There’s a fake joy while drinking too much."
     The real joy can come to your mind when you decide to do what you know is good, and you follow through.
     Here’s how others say “Joy.”
Radost = Czech
Vreugde = Dutch
Kagalakan =  Filipino
Joie =  French
Freude = German
Xapå,  =  Greek
Gioia   =  Italian
Radość =  Polish
Джой  = Russian
Alegría  =  Spanish
Glädje  = Swedish
Sevinç  = Turkish
Джой  = Ukranian
Xursandchilik   = Uzbek
     Look at that Google Translate feature, Select Languages, at the top of this blog.  That's how I found "joy" in lots of languages. There are a lot more languages that I didn’t copy here.  Look them up yourself and be amazed.
     And if you look up "joy" at www.biblegateway.com you can find many different Bible translations in other languages, as well as over 50 English language translations.
     Joy is a blessing from God.  You need it, we all need joy.  Find out more about "joy" and you'll be happy today..and the rest of your life!

Esti´mulo, Incoraggiamento, Uppmuntran, Spreagadh

Encouragement!  Yes, other languages say this word, too!  *
    A well-worded encouragement is valuable.  It’s different from a compliment — so take a longer look at encouragement.
Can you recall any particular person who, at some time, encouraged you?  Do you remember what they said?  How did you react or reply?
When you are given encouragement you may be strengthened in your efforts because you’ve been acknowledged for what you have already done, and recognized for the grand possibilities in your future.  Specific abilities may be mentioned, certain obstacles may be acknowledged. Some particular suggestion could be included.
Can you recall any words from someone that, at first, challenged or irritated you, but it made you think longer about the situation? How did you respond?
  Did you grow emotionally or spiritually from any comments, written or verbal, someone made to you?
Were there times when you needed a kind, helpful word, but no one spoke up to encourage you? Did this teach you something?
How are you at giving some words of encouragement? Is it easier for you to give verbal encouragement or written encouragement?
Our goal in life is beyond survival, it’s to achieve a personal goal of success.
