It’s a brand-new day, a grand new day,
I’m ready to take it on;
I’m going to be stronger for even longer,
Starting today at dawn.
My Creator is certainly greater,
I’ve committed myself to Him;
Away with doubt, I push fears out,
I choose to refrain from sin.
The world is crazy, the future’s hazy
Because the devil will try to annoy;
There’s a challenge for me, I do see,
But I’ll find plenty to enjoy.
How many more days? Much more haze?
I do need spiritual eyesight!
Jesus loves me, I accept Him definitely,
So onward, towards Heaven’s light.
O Lord, show me the way, for today
I choose to pass this new test;
Let others see what You’ve done for me,
Empower me to do what’s best.
